Promises revisited. Nearly a year ago, I mentioned that I was planning a redesign of this site. "Intended" to redesign the site is a more appropriate term. However, there has been some real progress in the fruitition of the next iteration of this Uli Roth site...as in there has been at least something! After reading the book Designing With Web Standards, this site is going to be transitioning away from the older 90's style method of HTML and site design, and heading toward a more CSS and XHTML centric way of design. This fresh design harkens back to the early days of the Uli Jon Roth website which was a breeding ground for experimentation for what the Web possessed. For the first time in many years, that element of excitement and freshness has returned, and it will be coming to this site, which should hopefully see its grand opening some time in 2005. Hopefully.

Promises, promises, promises...Here it is, nearly half a year later, and still not much in the way of a new site design. Search Engine: As seen near the bottom of this page, a search engine is now available to search through this site.
9. December 2001 : Added a search engine to the main page. It has taken many years for me to finally build up the experience and effort to do so, but a decent search engine has been created, and now it is easier to search through this site.
~1. December 2001 : Received another live show, from Long Beach 1985. An interesting show, with several songs from Beyond the Astral Skies, and even a few unreleased (at the time) songs such as "Starlight" and "On That Night".

30. July 2001 : Received a bootleg copy of a live Electric Sun concert from 1979 last week, and today I received copies of both part 1 and 2 of the Retrospective albums. The Retrospective versions of Earthquake and Fire Wind have many interesting comments and histories added in the linear notes, along with several extra pictures.

31. October 2000 : Two updates in two days, I must be on a role. I shrunk some pictures on the Pictures page so the page should load up faster (but still it is a large page).

12. June 2000 : Let's just say I'm very happy today, with very good cause. (Unfortunately my grandfather also died today, so the day didn't end up being quite as good as it could have been).
9. June 2000 : Started up a new mailing list at eGroups. This was set up to focus more on Uli Roth's music, instead of a mailing list subjected to more random thoughts and off-topic dicussions. Also updated a few other pages.
4. June 2000 : Tweaked the site a bit and added a few pages. Now there is a Terms of Use & Thanks page. Also the poll has a view results link so a person doesn't need to vote to see the results. Added a new link to a page which is semi-complete.
31. May 2000 : Added another article. Updated the Tours page. Fixed some errors so the menus will disappear when the cursor moves off them, and also the error messages no longer appear when using (ugh) IE.
30. May 2000 : Fixed up the Add User script so it works a little better and catches some errors (i.e. multiple people accidentally having the same username).

3. February 2000 : While no real news or any such thing, I have added a cool little feature for those people using Internet Explorer. Now the links on the side bar will highlight any links in red which the mouse is hovering over.
16. January 2000 : I finally bought a scanner and figured it out and now I scanned a few pictures off of the back of the vinyl copy of Beyond the Astral Skies. Also I updated the Sky of Avalon page. Also made some small modifications to the Firewind page. Added a new picture (the one at the very bottom) in the pictures section.
11. January 2000 : This is the first update of the new year, and it seems to be starting off right. John David tabbed down some more riffs of Still So Many Lives Away. The two new examples are on the page now. Enjoy!

23. August 1999 : This is the longest delay I've had in updating this site in many, many months. I've been busy with many other projects and there just hasn't been much for me to report about or change. I did move pictures around from several accounts, so not much will seemed changed in the end.
9. August 1999 : I have made another addition to my Ulrich Roth collection. I now am the owner of a stamped Uli Jon Roth guitar pick. I marked this down on the Contact Me page.

24. June 1999 :Modified the counter script which originally was set up on 21. June. Amazing how many hits this site can get in a day, much more than I ever imagined. Checked the site to see if it worked okay with MS Internet Explorere 4.0...in an unamazing conclusion, Microsoft once again proved that they can only produce cheap rip-offs of superior products (like Netscape in this case). IE couldn't bring up the JavaScript enabled features and links on the new site, so IE users will have to use the old-style links.
19. June 1999 :Redirected a few links to the few changes I made. Now the site is viewable from UNIX and PCs with 3.x browsers (it worked with the Macs already).
16. June 1999 :Continued cleaning up the site by removing many of the now-defunct 'Back' links on pages which aren't necessary now since the site now has frames. Removed a picture from the Private Section. That picture is now featured on the Electric Sun page.
14. June 1999 :Thanks to Michael Hirsch for telling me about the ProMusicFind site where you can buy the Hendrix tribute and also the Symphonic Rock for Europe. I posted the new link on my Where to buy page. The new Ulrich Roth site has been moved to the original site at http://www.cs.montana.edu/~charon/scorps/Roth.html. The old site has been moved to http://www.cs.montana.edu/~charon/scorps/Rothold.html. The new site is now compatabile for 3.0 browsers now, except I did encounter some problems while viewing the site under the UNIX Netscape 3.0. Try clicking Reload several times. 27. March 1999 : Constructed the Prologue To The Symphonic Legends page and the Aquila Suite page and added appropriate links to several pages. The server is getting fickle about cgi scripts and doesn't want to accept new message board messages. I'll try and get things working as soon as possible.
23. March 1999 : Had to make some small modifications to the main page because Microsoft Internet Explorer was being a piece of crap (imagine that, a crappy Microsoft product) and wasn't displaying the entire page. Netscape, however, was showing the entire page just perfectly.
